Bypass the Bypass

There is a nutritional way to bypass the need for bypass surgery. Since 1983, tens of thousands of people have been using this method to remove and prevent the arterial deposits that cause heart attacks and strokes. "Before and After" tests reveal complete removal of arterial blockages within a few short months of starting the program. Symptoms - - such as angina, leg cramps, lack of measurable pulse in the ankles, tingling in the hands, trembling and even gangrene - - often disappear within weeks. Blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels also tend to normalize themselves. Many who were scheduled for bypass surgery no longer need it. Many have been able to throw away their diuretics, blood thinners, aspirin, anti-cholesterol drugs and nitroglycerin.

These people are using the Nutritional Bypass program to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease - - our nation's number one killer disease. This simple, self-help method works by providing the body with the conditions it needs to cleanse itself of arterial plaque, in an entirely natural way.

Clearing out the circulatory system can rejuvenate and restore the entire body. Other conditions reported to have improved after arterial cleansing include Alzheimer's disease, diabetic retinopathy, impotence, prostrate problems, arthritis, varicose veins, irregular heartbeat and heavy metal toxicity. Almost everyone reports some benefits - - such as improved memory, more energy, warmer hands and feet, better vision, more youthful appearance and the need for less sleep.

In 1920 heart attacks were very rare. Today they claim more lives than any other disease. Prior to 1920 the human body was resistant to heart disease; since that time it has lost this special immunity. The Nutritional Bypass program helps to make our bodies as healthy as those who lived in the pre-heart attack era.

Early Warning Signs

The following symptoms can warn of deteriorating circulation long before the onset of a heart attack or stroke:

  • Fingers or toes often go cold
  • Arms or legs often go to sleep
  • Numbness or heavyiness in arms or legs
  • Cramps in hand when writing
  • Sharp, diagonal crease in earlob
  • Tingling sensation in in lips or fingers
  • Short walk causes leg cramps or pains
  • Memory not as good as it used to be
  • Ankles swell late in the day
  • Breathlessness on slight exertion
  • High blood pressure
  • Chest pain after exercise or stress

Cholesterol is NOT the Cause

Did you know that 80% of people who have had heart attacks did not have elevated levels of blood cholesterol prior to these attacks. If your serum cholesterol levels are normal, you may still be a candidate for a heart attack or stroke. If you assume otherwise, you could be dead wrong.

Heart Disease Risk Factors

  • Tobacco smoke
  • Rancid fats and oils
  • Polyunsaturated oils
  • Chlorinated drinking water
  • Exhaust fumes
  • Air pollution
  • Cleaning fluids
  • Nitrate/nitrite preservatives
  • Chronic depression
  • X-rays, gamma rays
  • Ultra violet radiation
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Refined sugars
  • Alcohol
  • Caffeine
  • Excessive stress

Cholesterol and saturated fats do not cause heart disease. If they did, rural populations would have died off generations ago. The typical farm diet included generous amounts of eggs, butter, sausage, pork, beef, lard, etc - - yet they did not get heart attacks. [By the way, these people did not consume polyunsaturated oils] What has changed since the 1920s is:

a) Our increasing exposure to risks such as tobacco smoke, exhaust fumes, chlorinated drinking water, radiation, chemical food additives, and the chemically unstable vegetable oils.

b) Our increased consumption of refined sugars and overprocessed foods that have been stripped of the vital nutrients needed to keep our immune processes strong and healthy.

Some claim that fewer people people are dying of heart attacks than were, say, 25 years ago. That is not the whole picture. Doctors now have the technology to keep many people alive once they have had a heart attack. The chances of getting an initial heart attack, however are as great or greater than they have ever been - - in spite of the popularity of low cholesterol diets. Unfortunately, the first heart attack is often fatal.

Trying to reduce one's consumption of cholesterol may be an exercise in futility. Cholesterol is a vital substance needed by every cell in the body. The less of it we consume, the more of it our bodies produce. Low cholesterol foods and cholesterol lowering drugs have made a lot of money for a lot of companies, but they have done nothing to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease. There is a better way.

The Nutritional Bypass

The Nutritional Bypass method is as effective as it is simple to use. It works by:

a) Reducing exposure to those substances that initiate arterial damage, and
b) Supplementing the diet with specific nutrients that protect against this damage.

No drugs of any kind are involved - - only natural, safe nutritional factors to which the body readily responds. Full details of this program are explained in David Rowland's book, 'The Nutritional Bypass: Reverse Atherosclerosis Without Surgery'.

The Nutritional Bypass program includes dietary and lifestyle changes, plus a special Arterial Cleansing Formula that helps the body to reduce arterial plaque in an entirely natural way. It works by:

1) Stimulating the body's own production of lipoprotien lipase, an enzyme that digests the fat that accumulates on artery walls
2) Improves the slipperiness or flow characteristics of the blood
3) Helps to dissolve blood clots
4) Encourages the dilation or widening of blood vessels
5) Help to normalize blood pressure
6) Chelating heavy metal deposits from artery walls
7 ) Encourages the growth of collateral blood vessels around blockages, and
8 ) Helps to protect artery walls from the damaging effects of free radicals

Free Radicals

Free radicals are highly molecular fragments that interact rapidly and aggressively with other molecules in your body to create abnormal cells. They can penetrate into the DNA of a cell and change it's 'Blueprint' so that it now produces maverick cells that proliferate out of control.

Free radicals are highly unstable. They have unpaired electrons in their outer orbits, which cause them to react instantly with any substance in their vicinity. They have a particular affinity for attacking the polyunsaturated fatty acids found in cellular membranes. Artery walls are particularly vulnerable because of their relatively high content of polyunsaturates.

Free radicals are released in the body from the breaking down or detoxification of many chemical compounds, such as petrochemicals [in drugs, artificial food colourings, smog, etc], preservatives in processed meats [nitrates, nitrites], the carbon monoxide in exhaust fumes, cleaning fluids [carbon tetrachloride], unsaturated and rancid fats, alcohol, the tar in tobacco smoke, chlorinated drinking water and swimming pools [which can form chloroform in the body], cadmium and other heavy metals and from radiation [X-rays, gamma radiation]. The more we expose ourselves to such hazards, the greater load of uncontrolled free radicals to which we subject our bodies - - and the more likely we are to exceed the ability of our immune processes to protect us from their damage.

If you want to know how much your body has already been affected by free radicals, try the pinch test. Extend your hand, palm down, in a relaxed position. Pinch the skin on the back of your hand and lift the fold upwards. Release this fold of skin and see how long it takes to pull back into position. If you are young and have minimal free radical damage, your skin will snap back immediately. Where there is considerable cross-linkage of collagen, the skin fold will slip slowly back into place, sometimes taking several seconds.

Questions and Answers

Are there any side effects to the Nutritional Bypass Program?

Not as such. The ingredients in the Arterial Cleansing Formula are natural and safe. About five percent of people, however, may have temporary cleansing reactions. Such reactions may include headaches, nausea, indigestion, diarrhea, fatigue or intestinal gas, lasting for about five or ten days. These signs occur because of beneficial changes in intestinal flora and the release of debris into the bloodstream. Where they occur, such symptoms are evidence that a cleansing process was needed and is taking place.

Why doesn't my doctor know about the Nutritional Bypass program?

Nutrition is not taught to any significant extent in medical schools. Also, most doctors are so busy with their practices that they have little time to keep up with the tremendous volume of research that is published every year. Nevertheless, more and more doctors are learning about the Nutritional Bypass, mostly from patients who are using it for themselves.

Will the arterial cleansing process pull away chunks of plaque that could plug up the arteries further downstream?

No. That is not the way the process works. The plaque does not come away in chunks. It is scrubbed away, safely and gradually, with a detergent like action. Emulsifiers in the Arterial Cleansing Formula keep fats in solution so that they are not deposited elsewhere.

Why are polyunsaturated oils so bad? Everything I have heard suggests that they are beneficial.

Polyunsaturated oils are a mixed blessing. They do provide essential fatty acids that we need, but they are also chemically unstable. When subjected to heat or light [even during so-called 'cold' pressing] they rapidly deteriorate, increasing their potential to create damaging free radicals. Many people consume more polyunsaturates than they need, and in potentially dangerous forms. The most stable forms of essential fatty acids are those that come in nature's protective packaging, such as raw nuts and seeds, avocado, olives, fish, poultry and butter. The more processed an oil is the more hazardous it becomes. The most dangerous are commercial deep frying oils, margarine and vegetable shortenings.

Will the Arterial Cleansing Formula conflict with any prescription drugs I'm taking?

You need to have your prescribed medication monitored by your doctor. As your body improves on the Nutritional Bypass program, you will likely need less of your prescription drugs. Be sure to report your progress to your doctor so that he/she can alter your medication accordingly. There is no known conflict between the Arterial Cleansing Formula and any drug, with the possible exception of antibiotics, which are best taken at least two hours apart from the nutritional supplements simply because they tend to cancel each other out. Your doctor and your pharmacist are the best people to counsel you about your drugs. The nutrients themselves are safe.

What are the ingredients in the Arterial Cleansing Formula?

It consists of at least 25 natural vitamins, minerals, lipotropic factors, amino acids and glandular concentrates combined in specific, synergistic proportions.

How long will it take to start to feel results on the Nutritional Bypass program?

That is a variable. We are all different. Some people start to notice slight improvements within 10 days or so. Almost everyone finds some initial results within the first month.

What scientific verification is there for the Nutritional Bypass program?

At least 89 documented scientific reports support it's dietary recommendations. Over 100 additional studies support the use of 20 of the ingredients in the Arterial Cleansing Formula for that purpose. Also, tens of thousands of successful users over 13 years represent epidemiological evidence of significant proportions.
