We thought that the best way to introduce you to Laara Harlingten was to interview her. Here are the highlights:
Why did you get into this business?
At the age of 18, I experienced Asthma and IBS. I also experienced tremendous depression and anxiety. Many of my family members also suffered from similar symptoms and died early from Cancer. As a result of this I devoted my life to "Getting to the Cause" and treating conditions Naturally. I believe I have been successful in developing a strategy to help others do the same using a minimum of supplementation and a maximum of Self-Love. My love of cooking simple farm foods has helped me to use Simple Foods as a part of my Healing Focus. My extreme Emotional Nature has forced me to become an Emotional Genius. My final Motivation was to develop a program that anyone can afford to do. With a healthy dose of will power and faith in your body's inate healing wisdom the Vita-Quest method can help you achieve vibrant, independent health and wealth. Please refer to "The Trip" and "Are you Ready" pages on this site to determine if in fact you have what it takes to take back the control of your own Health and Lifestyle.
Where were you trained?
The Edison Institute of Wholistic Nutrition; U of British Columbia; U of Alberta; Franklin College, Australia, Psychology Diploma
How much experience do you have?
Since 1983, I have worked in many levels of fitness and wellness.
Do you see yourself as being better than a traditional doctor?
I see myself as working co-operatively with and equal to traditional doctors; we are truly interdependent. Indeed, the Vita Quest™ program's emphasis on prevention can and does reduce doctors' visits.
Both wholistic therapists and traditional doctors play equal roles in the 'total wellness package' that astute individuals demand today.
Doctors can scientifically monitor Vita Quest's™ preventative steps, clearly indicating to the medical profession just how effective preventative medicine can be. Measuring both the cause and the effect is ideal.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The most difficult aspect is helping people to understand just how deeply emotions impact health. This understanding is the key reason that breath work lays the foundation for the trip to wellness. It enables the client to experience just how effective breathing can be to reducing tension. This experience serves as the cornerstone for the rest of the Vita Quest™ program.
What is it about Vita Quest™ that you are the most passionate about?
I am the most passionate about watching people feel and enjoy their success at their own pace after completing the Vita Quest™ program. On watching this success, I am able to say, "My work is done."
I will not give up until you give up.
